kindergarten Readiness: Is your child ready for school?

Each child is unique but there are some common things exist among them. The young children of age 2 to 3 are always curious about new things, they easily observe their surroundings and makes the whole family wonder about their intelligence. These behaviors of the kids will make the parents to think that "Is my child ready for school". Absolutely don't hesitate to take this thought serious, every parent has the duty to do the best to their children. But sending them to school before they acquire several essential skills will surly create a bad impression about schooling and learning, and that will be very hard to handle both for the parents and teachers.

Here are some crucial checklist for the young parents :)

1. Communication: When your children are apart from you, they might not able to ask for the things they need. For example: The child may not want to play with the building blocks or they might be interested of wheeling toys. In those cases the kid must be able to ask for what she/he needs, might not be as a sentence but words are enough for the teachers or the care takers to understand him. If the child is not willing or unable to communicate, that will create a loneliness within him. It might affects his emotions and that can be lead to a negative impact on the school life.

2.  Handle the Separation: This is one of the major thing the parent should know. The child must be able to tolerate the separation from the parent, because everything around the child will be very new and different; this will make him to feel insecure. The parents must speak to him about the school and its environment, don't say it in the way they afraid. Your words will create an imaginary vision of the school, tell them in the school he is going to get new friends and toys. The child will surly excite about the fresh things, it won't be a strange experience for him/her to face.

3. Finger Grip: In most of the kindergarten and nursery schools the child must trace or color in the initial stage of the academic year. When the child don't have the finger grip, it will be tough for her to do things in the early stage. This is not meant that that child must have practice of tracing and colouring in the home itself, there are many simple and naturals ways to develop their fine motor skills. Example: Pasting, buttoning, clapping, squashing, opening and closing the lid of the bottles.

4. Age: Even though the child is OK with the above points, the age is the foremost criteria to set. Although you are sending the children to playschool, she/he must be above two and a half year old. The child cannot concentrate and learn anything properly, even if they do, it won't be remembered for so long. Before two and a half is a pre-mature process, if it is a proper Kindergarten/nursery school the age of the children must be above three and a half.

 5. Self-help : One of the alarming thing to notice your child before school is Toilet-training, it is not a big issue to worry about. But in most of the conditions it is a prime point to consider. May the child feel uneasy about the teasing of their peers, because teasing and fear are most common behaviors in young children. They might start to control or even feel uncomfortable to say that to the teachers, it may lead to some physical problems so it is the duty of the parent to train them before school.

Kudos!! Now Your Child Is Ready For The School..
